Najd Al Maqsar

Najd Al Maqsar is an ancient village clinging to a hill at the northern entrance to the town of Khor Fakkan. 

Easily accessible by car from the road from Sharjah, the village has been renovated to make it more attractive to visitors. The fort is located at the top and it is well worth making the effort to admire the view over the whole valley.

Just before Nadj, consider taking a break at Raf Dam, where there are cafes and restaurants and you can even hire kayaks to take a tour of the lake.

Finally, when you get to Kohr Fakkan, visit the lovely museum which shows all the facets of life in the emirates in days gone by and, to finish off, don't miss the stroll along the seafront and its many restaurants.
