Hegra (Al Ula)
The most beautiful of all the UNESCO sites in Saudi Arabia is certainly Hegra, also known as the second Petra.
In fact, it was the same Nabataeans who built this city at Hegra during their advance from Jordan towards the South along the Silk and Spice Route.
The place is marvellous, breathtaking. 138 tombs are aligned according to the stars at the summer solstice, each more beautiful than the last.
You will need to book a place on the tour, as you will be accompanied by a guide, whether on a private or group visit.
It is not possible to visit on your own. Allow plenty of time, as the whole tour takes at least 3 hours.
This is a visit not to be missed.
