As Sulayf Fort

Oman's rich history can also be seen in the many forts dotted around the country. 

Many of them have been or are being restored to offer visitors a unique experience. Don't hesitate to visit these forts, which allow you to immerse yourself in life in days gone by. 

The fortress of As Sulayf was built in the 18th century and is a veritable small fortified town. Access is easy, but it is privately owned, so you need to ask the guard for permission to enter (free entrance).

The place is magical and some parts are quite well preserved. Walking around gives you a good idea of the scale of the place and what life was like in those days. A not-to-be-missed visit to the Ibri region.
