Jebel Zelma Region

In the centre of the country, the Jebel Zalma' region is very rugged and progress is particularly difficult. The track gets lost in fields of stones as far as the eye can see, and it's difficult to find your way, even with a good GPS. You drive very slowly, which is hard on your back and your tyres. There aren't many places to pitch a tent, either, and the wind often blows quite hard. It would be better to avoid this region and opt for Hibran or Al Ula. But as it lies between the two, it is better to take the road to cross it rather than the track.
