Edge of the World

About an hour and a half's drive north-west of Riyadh is a breathtaking site: Edge of the World.

The track requires a 4x4 and is well-marked but fairly deteriorated. Approximately 1 km before the site, signs forbid access to cars and guards keep watch. So you have to complete the adventure on foot. The magnificent cliff overlooks an immense plain. If you're lucky, you may even catch a glimpse of a flight of eagles.

There is nothing to eat or drink on site, so take something to eat and drink. Given the remoteness of the site and the runway, there aren't many visitors and you'll generally be able to enjoy the scenery at your leisure.
